This company came to us toward the end of 2023 with the goal of getting more sales for their local meal prep and food delivery business. Their site suffered from slow load speeds, unhelpful blogs, and a series of over 20 location pages with identical content. After two months of foundational SEO work (installing schema, optimizing headers & site structure, pruning unhelpful content, etc.), we began producing unique content for their location pages. Our optimizations transformed these pages from unhelpful, identical pages that were likely to get struck with a spam penalty into ones that provided a unique experience for each city they served. On top of that, they were actually helpful and served a purpose.
Each month that followed was filled with helpful blog posts that aligned with the health-conscious nature of their menu and continuous technical optimizations. One year later, their organic traffic is up by 1,462.09%.

This client was a difficult one, as they had worked with another “SEO agency” previously. Their previous agency had clearly used black-hat SEO tactics; a surefire way to land a website in Google’s penalty box. As we audited the site, we found sets of 10+ blogs that were nearly identical and served no purpose. The site was plagued by links to dead pages, pages with broken images, and worst of all, long lists of zipcodes that the agency attempted to hide on various pages by matching the font color with the pages’ background colors.
It took us an entire month just to undo the previous agency’s “SEO strategies.” After that, we spent two months on foundational SEO work and made the tough decision to delete their service area pages, as all of them featured identical content, and they clearly had a soft penalty from Google. We worked on improving the site’s content and publishing authority-building blogs, but for roughly 5 months, Google refused to index any of our work (a result of the poor state of the site when we began working with them). Flash forward to now, and you’ll see a 235.13% growth in organic traffic.

User engagement is on the rise as well, with a 147.06% increase in engagement events and a 221.39% increase in unique users. Our next steps include optimizing the site to better handle seasonal traffic dips and rebuilding better versions of the service area pages we initially deleted (on a new subdirectory).
